About Bonnie Ceres

Bonnie holds nursing degrees from both Purdue University and Rutgers University and has been a registered nurse for over 20 years. She has been involved in many aspects of patient care in various settings including hospitals, long term care, substance abuse treatment, clinics, and home care. Her experiences led her to the exploration and study of many healing modalities which she utilized when treating her patients. She was also strongly interested in preventative care. Traditional Chinese Medicine, (TCM), using acupuncture, looks at the individual in a holistic way when developing treatment plans. It focuses on what the patient can do in terms of prevention of medical problems and the promotion of health. Bonnie saw patients get excellent results when they tried acupuncture as “the last straw.” Now as an acupuncturist, her mission is to bring a better understanding of what acupuncture can do to improve health, prevent health problems and assist her patients to a state of optimum wellbeing, not just the absence of disease. Personal concern and educating the patient are the hallmarks of her practice. Following graduation from Eastern School of Acupuncture in Montclair, NJ, Bonnie participated in an externship in the treatment of both inpatients and outpatients with acupuncture at Kessler Rehab Hospital in East Orange, NJ. At Kessler, under the direction of a noted MD acupuncturist, Bonnie saw a myriad of patients with a focus on the management of stroke and pain issues. Bonnie has studied under Dr. Randine Lewis, author of "The Infertility Cure" and "The Way of the Fertile Soul" , and has completed Dr. Lewis' Treating Infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine and TCM for Fertility Continuing Education. Bonnie is a charter member of the Clinical Excellence in Fertility Program. In addition to acupuncture, Bonnie also uses qua sha, cupping and micro-current colored light therapy, a non-needle type of therapy
